Over the years, Ewan Svensson has had many projects of his own, from duos to crossover sets, all with his original compositions. With this album he pay tribute to the amazing trumpeter Kenny Wheeler.
Kenny ́s fine compositions on this album are songs that Ewan has played with him on various occasions. The other songs are originals tunes by Ewan, some of which are inspired by Kenny ́s music.
Ewan Svensson, Yasuhito Mori and Magnus Gran have previously released 8 CDs as a trio and sometimes with various guest artists. On this 9th album the trio is expanded with the fantastic pianist Simon Westman and forms a new edition of Ewan Svensson Quartet .
